A new cigar from Selected Tobacco, the Bandolero Premium, is slated for release at this year’s PCA event in New Orleans. Produced in limited quantities due to an extended aging process, this cigar will be available through select retailers across the United States.

Crafted under the direction of Nelson Alfonso, owner of Selected Tobacco, the Bandolero Premium features a blend of Nicaraguan Ligero and Peruvian fillers, a Nicaraguan binder, and an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper. The cigars are rolled in Costa Rica and aged for three years in Madrid, Spain, inside humidors lined with five types of cedar. This aging method aims to enhance the flavor profile, offering a medium to full-bodied smoke.

“Bandolero has always carried an air of mystery, and the Bandolero Premium elevates that legacy,” said Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations for United Cigars, the exclusive distributor for Selected Tobacco. “The dedication to aging and refinement from Selected Tobacco is unlike anything else, Bandolero Premium only reinforces our belief in the process.”

The line will come in three sizes: Magnificos (6 x 55) priced at $38, Bravos (5 1/4 x 52) at $32, and Irónicos (4 1/2 x 50) at $24. Each will be packaged in lacquered boxes of 25. Following its PCA debut, the initial distribution will be limited to a small group of accounts.
