Tyler Jeffery has announced the Viso Horny 555, the latest cigar in the Viso Horny lineup, slated for release at next month’s 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Show in New Orleans. Following the 2023 debut of the Viso Horny ‘Uncle Luke’ 452, this new 5″ x 55 box-pressed gran robusto shifts from a direct-to-consumer model to availability through cigar retailers across the United States.
Jeffery, who collaborated with Alex Nowogrodzka on the blend, highlighted the move to broaden access. “This cigar was crafted to be enjoyed by as many enthusiasts possible and partnering with top retailers across the country was the next logical step in sharing our passion,” he said. The 555 will be distributed by Pospiech, Inc. (known for distributing Powstanie Cigars), with retailers able to contact the company for purchasing details.
Produced at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, the cigar features a US Broadleaf wrapper, Cameroon binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras, all composed of viso primings (alluding to Jeffery’s @visohorny handle on social media). Of note, these are the same stats—at least on paper—seen on the former Uncle Luke release. Jeffery took a hands-on role in sourcing a key filler leaf in the blend, noting, “Being involved from the very beginning—personally selecting the tobacco that became part of this blend—makes The 555 deeply personal for me.” He added, “Utilizing only viso primings throughout the cigar, we focused on achieving the perfect balance to ensure an exceptional burn and effortless draw.”
The Viso Horny 555 is limited to 5,000 cigars, packaged in 10-count bundles with a silver foot band and an MSRP of $15 per cigar. Jeffery praised Nowogrodzka’s contribution, stating, “Alex’s passion for tobacco is contagious, and his depth of knowledge is remarkable—especially for someone of his age.”
Jeffery, now based in Austin, Texas, credits his seven years of experience in Nicaragua and mentorship from RoMa Craft Tobac’s Skip Martin and Michael Rosales, as well as guidance from Oliva Tobacco’s Angel Oliva III and Gustavo Cura, for making this release possible. The 555 aims to deliver a complex yet balanced smoking experience for cigar enthusiasts nationwide.
