Macanudo is bringing its Emissary series back to Europe with a new cigar, Emissary France, featuring tobacco grown near Bordeaux, France. The tobacco comes from the Mugron River Valley, influenced by the Atlantic sea breeze, and adds notes of salt and dark berries to the blend.
The cigar is made with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper aged 10 years, a USA Broadleaf binder also aged 10 years, and a filler mix that includes Dominican Piloto aged 10 years, USA Broadleaf aged 8 years, Brazilian Arapiraca aged 7 years, and the French tobacco aged 4 years.
The Emissary series focuses on highlighting European tobaccos. This release follows Emissary España, which used tobacco from Riolobos, Spain. Emissary France continues Macanudo’s exploration of regional tobacco flavors.
Matt Wilson, Senior Brand Manager for Macanudo, commented, “After Emissary España, we looked to France for its flavors and traditions. We aimed to craft a cigar that reflects those characteristics. Emissary France aligns with that goal.”
Produced at HATSA, Emissary France is a regular offering available in four sizes, each packaged in 16-count boxes. Shipping to retailers begins March 3, 2025.
