Altadis USA subsidiary H. Upmann has partnered with AJ Fernandez to release the H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Heritage Finca Providencia. This limited-edition cigar, crafted by duo A.J. Fernández and Rafael Nodal, is set to debut at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in New Orleans next month.
The Heritage Finca Providencia follows the 2019 release of the H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Finca La Lilia 2009, which highlighted tobaccos from Fernandez’s La Lilia farm in Nicaragua. The new cigar features 100 percent Nicaraguan tobaccos sourced from Fernández’s Finca Providencia estate, known for producing some of the country’s most in-demand tobacco. Production is capped at 8,250 20-count boxes due to the limited supply of the tobaccos used.
The H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Heritage Finca Providencia is rolled in a single 6″ x 55 toro grande size, featuring a Nicaraguan wrapper, binder, and filler—described as offering a medium-to-full strength profile. Each cigar carries a suggested retail price of $20.00.

The H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Heritage Finca Providencia will be available following its unveiling at the PCA Trade Show, offering a familiar extension to the Finca La Lilia 2009 line.
