Drew Estate has announced two special releases: the limited-edition Día de los Muertos cigar and the Deadwood Tobacco Co the “Girl With No Name” Lonsdale.
The Día de los Muertos cigar, crafted to commemorate Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday, returns with its rich, aromatic profile. This ultra-premium cigar is wrapped in a deep Maduro leaf and offers a full-bodied, flavorful smoking experience that’s both smooth and luxurious. While the blend of binder and filler tobaccos remains undisclosed, the cigar’s signature Maduro wrapper is designed to delight both seasoned cigar smokers and casual enthusiasts alike.
Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, shared the inspiration behind this cigar: “My hope is that as people smoke the Día de los Muertos, they reflect back on loved ones lost, loved ones who find them in the smoke, and loved ones who remain in our daily rituals, always in our hearts. Yes, I love that.”
This year’s release features a striking orange band and marigold-inspired packaging, paying tribute to the symbolic flower used in Día de los Muertos celebrations to guide the spirits of loved ones back home. Available in 20-count boxes, the Día de los Muertos cigar will retail at $240 per box. Shipping begins in late September, just in time for the holiday.
Drew Estate continues its bold tradition with the release of the “Girl With No Name” (GWNN) Lonsdale, the newest addition to its Deadwood Tobacco Co. lineup. Known for its sweet, rebellious cigars, Deadwood fans can expect another unforgettable smoking experience. The GWNN Lonsdale features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper and an undisclosed blend of tobaccos, delivering a rich, robust flavor profile with the natural sweetness that fans of the line have come to love.
Measuring 7 inches with a 44-ring gauge, the slim, elegant Lonsdale format promises a slow burn with a nuanced, layered smoking experience. Jonathan Drew spoke of the personal connection to the cigar’s name, referencing the U2 song “Where the Streets Have No Name,” inspired by Managua, Nicaragua. “GWNN is definitely mysterious but in your heart, you just know her. You feel me, people?”
Packaged in 20-count boxes at a suggested retail price of $220, the Girl With No Name will begin shipping to retailers nationwide on October 23, 2024.
Vaughn Boyd, founder and former owner of Deadwood Tobacco Co., shared his excitement about the new releases: “The Día de los Muertos cigar isn’t just about the rich smoking profile—it’s about honoring tradition. And the Girl With No Name brings her own allure to the Deadwood family. Like her sisters, she’s full of surprises and a little danger, and we can’t wait for her to find her place in the hearts of cigar lovers everywhere.”
