Crowned Heads have announced ‘Blood Medicine Limited Edition 2024,’ a tribute to the company’s hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Blood Medicine was originally released in 2015, when it was launched as an event-only cigar with a production of 6,000 cigars.

“To this point, we’ve only utilized ‘Blood Medicine’ as an event-only, gift-with-purchase cigar, and always in a traditional 5×50 robusto vitola,” commented Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber. “The blend has always been truly exceptional, and based upon the inquiries and feedback I was personally receiving, I felt as though not enough people were receiving the opportunity to enjoy it. So late last year, we decided to take the blend, adjust it to a 6×52 vitola, and make it available internationally.”

‘Blood Medicine’ takes it’s name from a three story building located on the corner of Broadway and 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville. That building was originally built as a three-floor pharmacy in 1872 before being converted into a hotel in 1892. The hotel operated until the 1980’s, and in 1988 the building would be purchased and re-opened as Merchants Restaurant, which is still in operation today. Over the years, The Merchants Hotel would host such iconic music luminaries as Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Patsy Cline.
