One of the most premium offerings from Aganorsa Leaf is set to expand from two to three blend variations, with the company announcing the Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut cigar.

The Aniversario series dates back to 2013 with the release of the beloved Casa Fernández Miami Aniversario Bohème No. 35, a limited size/blend that was crafted at the company’s boutique-style factory in Miami. This style of showcasing a custom-tuned blend to suit a unique vitola continued annually for the next few years, eventually taking a few years off before the line’s 2018 return. In 2020, the limited release used a maduro wrapper, eventually leading to a more streamlined approach for Aganorsa, with the Aniversario series being an ongoing line in both Corojo and Maduro blends.

Turning the duo into a trio, Aganorsa is set to unveil the Aniversario Connecticut at next month’s PCA trade show in Las Vegas. The cigars are rolled from the company’s prized Nicaraguan tobaccos throughout the binder and filler, focusing on the Jalapa and Estelí growing regions. This all-Nicaraguan core is wrapped in a Connecticut leaf, being available in two sizes at launch: Gran Robusto (box-pressed 5″ x 54) and Toro (box-pressed 6¼” x 52).

“The Aniversario Series is our Ultra-Premium expression of Aganorsa,” states Terence Reilly, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Between the gorgeous presentation, the beauty of the Connecticut wrapper, and the quality of the blend, we feel Aniversario Connecticut will join the Corojo and Maduro editions and become one of our best sellers. We encourage our retail partners to make sure to attend Miami, FL June 1st, 2023 PCA and stop by our booth to ensure they have access to this amazing cigar”

While a core offering, Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut will only be made available to retailers that attend the upcoming PCA trade show and Aganorsa Select Accounts (Aganorsa’s top retail accounts). This approach will hold throughout the remainder of the year.

The cigars are packaged in boxes of 10, with the Gran Robusto priced at $14.50 and the Toro $15.50 MSRP/cigar. The cigars will begin shipping shortly after the trade show, set to arrive this August. While the series began in Miami, all three cigars have since moved to Nicaragua, being rolled at the company’s sought-after Aganorsa Leaf factory (formerly known as TABSA).
