General Cigar Company have announced that the Punch Rare Corojo will make its annual return to retail next month. The 2023 release of Punch Rare Corojo will ship to retailers on February 1.
After a shortage of wrapper leaves caused the blend to disappear at retail for several years, Punch Rare Corojo was reintroduced in 2001 and became the premium cigar category’s first seasonal cigar.
Released annually, Rare Corojo features a rosado Sumatra wrapper grown in the mountains of Ecuador. The binder is a Connecticut Broadleaf, and the blend features Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican tobacco.
Punch Rare Corojo is made at HATSA in Honduras.
The line includes nine sizes, sells for a suggested retail price ranging from $7.19 to $10.19 per cigar and is presented in Rare Corojo’s signature bold red boxes.
