Cavalier Genève announced a slew of cigar releases today, as the company is now shipping the White Series Corona, a re-blended US Regional Exclusive, and the Viso Jalapa Limited Release.

Cavalier Genève White Series Corona

First up is the Cavalier Genève White Series Corona. This cigar is sized at 5¾” x 44, marking the fifth core-line addition to the Cavalier Genève White Series, joining the Medio (3½” x 58), Elegantes (4½” x 52), Diplomate (5½” x 56), and Toro (6″ x 52). There is also a lancero and salomones, but these are considered more limited releases.

The Cavalier Genève White Series Corona uses the same recipe as the rest of the line, including a Habano wrapper, Connecticut binder, and fillers of Nicaragua, Paraguay, and the Dominican Republic. The cigars are rolled at Cavalier’s new Fabrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. factory in Honduras.

Cavalier Genève US Regional Exclusive

The company is also shipping the US Regional Exclusive, which is a rebranded/blended version of the former USA Exclusive/Black I line.

“We have been working to separate this line from the affiliation it had with other products in the portfolio. We all went through the process of reimagining what that cigar was meant to be, now part of a Regional Exclusive section of the Cavalier line up that will showcase several regional products for countries across the world.” said Sebastien Decoppet, founder of Cavalier Genève.

The updated blend now includes tobaccos from the US within the filler, being joined by Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican leaves. The binder is Connecticut, and the wrapper is San Andrés. The cigars are available in four sizes: Petit Robusto (4″ x 50), Robusto (5″ x 50), Toro (6″ x 54), and Double Corona (7½” x 52).

Cavalier Genève Viso Jalapa Limited Release 2022

Finally, there is the Viso Jalapa Limited Release, which is the first cigar in a program described as “limited productions of cigars derived from core products that have undergone tweaks and are presented in one size in limited supply.” This means that the cigar is based on Cavalier’s BII Viso Jalapa blend. Where the standard Viso Jalapa is soft-pressed, the Viso Jalapa Limited Release uses a 5¼” x 56 parejo format.

Rolled at the company’s Honduran factory, the cigars use a viso-priming wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua, with binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Only 1,948 boxes of 10 cigars have been rolled, and the boxes were numbered by hand. The cigars will be offered once before moving onto a new Cavalier target.
