Joya de Nicaragua has announced that a new 6⅝” x 44 Lonsdale format will be coming to the Antaño CT collection.
The Antaño CT is a fuller-bodied Connecticut that was added to Joya’s long-running Antaño series in 2019. The cigar pairs an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper with all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers, rounding out a portfolio that includes the original Antaño 1970, the maduro-wrapped Antaño Dark Corojo, and Antaño Gran Reserva.
“When we launched Antaño CT, the reaction from cigar aficionados was amazing,” says Daniel Barrios, Joya de Nicaragua’s Global Commercial Manager. “The blend was well-received, just as we expected. Initially, we launched four vitolas, but we knew that it wasn’t going to stop there. That is why we have the pleasure to announce Antaño CT Lonsdale.”
Joya de Nicaragua is set to offer the new Lonsdale format to retailers that are member’s of Joya’s Club de Amigos program (similar to Drew Estate’s Drew Diplomat program) at the end of June, offered in boxes of 20 cigars. Pricing was not mentioned in the company’s press release.
