Cigars for Warriors continues their 10th anniversary celebrations throughout 2022 with the announcement of Slaughterhouse: The Operator, a limited-run project with Ventura Cigar Co.
The Operator is a spinoff of Ventura’s value-priced Slaughterhouse series, previously including the Slaughterhouse Natural and Maduro blends. With Slaughterhouse: The Operator, the blend is rolled by the Plasencias’ Nicaraguan factory in a singular 6″ x 50 toro format, making use of a natural-wrapped all-Nicaraguan recipe. The cigar is described as medium in body, being “more complex than the original Slaughterhouse” and having “a smooth, creamy finish.”
“Cigars for Warriors is a really special organization. The work they do organizing, collecting, and shipping donations to our troops doesn’t go unrecognized, when the opportunity to collaborate presented itself – it was a no-brainer.” says Benjamin Winokur, Ventura Cigar Company Brand Manager at Kretek.
Storm Boen, Chairman of the CFW Board of Directors added “We are elated to be working with Kretek and their many subsidiaries. I have personally enjoyed being part of designing the logo and packaging. The Kretek team’s professionalism is unparalleled and has made this project a joy for our team. This entry into the synergy program is truly beyond cool! On top of it being an excellent new medium bodied cigar it is economically friendly also. Please try a few and support our amazing deployed troops today!”
While pricing was not mentioned in a press release from the two companies, they have noted that the cigars will be ready for a May 2022 launch, limited to 1,300 bundles of 10 cigars. The release is part of CFW’s synergy program, which has included multiple collaborations in recent months. Finally, all profits from Slaughterhouse: The Operator will go towards CFW’s charity, which seeks to bring premium cigars to US troops at home and abroad.
