Sindicato Cigars announced today that they are now shipping the Sindicato Artista cigar to retailers across the country.

The cigar was first showcased at the 2021 PCA trade show in Las Vegas, marking the first Sindicato-branded cigar to come out of the Dominican Republic. This is evidenced in the cigar’s Artista title, being a nod to the Tabacalera El Artista factory that is handling production.

The project is spearheaded by third-generation owner of Tabacalera El Artista, Ram Rodriguez, incorporating a Corojo wrapper, Sumatran binder, and fillers of Criollo ’98, Dominican Olor, and Broadleaf.

“After working closely with Ram on a few projects, we’ve come to understand that this young man has not only a great palate, but also access to a wide array of tobaccos from their farms in Ecuador and Dominican Republic as well as their partners all over the world. We’re proud to introduce this outstanding cigar and can’t wait to hear the reactions of our valuable consumers,” says Jim Colucci, CEO and President of Sindicato Cigars.

The Sindicato Artista is rolled in robusto and toro sizes, priced at $8.25 and $8.75 MSRP per cigar. The cigars are offered in boxes of 20, and are being distributed by Gurkha, as has been the case since the two entities partnered in 2019.
