For the sixth time, Crowned Heads will release a cigar under the Mule Kick collection, with the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2022 scheduled to debut in late April.

The Mule Kick first launched in 2012, as Crowned Heads wanted to showcase the Four Kicks blend with a darker Habano wrapper (and slightly tweaked interior blend) than is used on the conventional Four Kicks. The series later re-emerged in 2017, seeing new variations on the blend from 2018 through 2020. After another brief hiatus, Mule Kick will return in 2022, boasting a San Andrés wrapper for the first time.

“We’re very excited to be bringing back the Mule Kick brand after a two year hiatus,” commented Crowne Heads co-founder Jon Huber. “We began working on this rendition late last year with Ernesto (Perez-Carrillo) and quickly discovered that the Mexican (San Andres) wrapper really complimented the Mule Kick blend; it lended a unique taste profile to the cigar that is unlike any previous Mule Kick version. The 2022 Mule Kick is impeccably balanced with great structure, and exhibits a nice smokey-spicy-sweet flavor profile.”

Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2022 is limited to 4,000 boxes of 10 cigars, priced at $11.95/cigar MSRP. As with previous releases, the cigars were rolled at Carrillo’s Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the DR.
