The CLE Signature THT-EKE 03/17 is certainly one of the most codified cigar titles you’ll come across (which is no small feat in the cigar scene). This series of numbers and letters, like the cigar’s blend itself, is not being disclosed by CLE or company owner, Christian Eiroa. What is known is that the blend is billed as being among the most elite in CLE’s portfolio, as well as the cigar’s wrapper, which is a Honduran Cameroon hybrid that the Eiroa family has dabbled with sparingly since the early 2000s. Regardless, the smoking experience has made itself known, being one of the more intricate and dialed back offerings from Christian Eiroa in some time. This kicks off with signature Cameroon qualities such as red pepper and nutmeg, pulling back to reveal restrained complexities of oolong tea, buttermilk, and light caramel.
