Atlanta-based ATL Cigar Co. has announced the company’s latest release—ATL Magic—which was blended in partnership with Master Blender Luciano Meirelles of ACE Prime and Tabacalera Pichardo fame.
ATL Magic will become the company’s fourth line, with Luciano utilizing a San Andrés wrapper and a Nicaraguan core recipe from the country’s Estelí, Jalapa, and Pueblo Nuevo regions. The latter is a lesser-used Nicaraguan tobacco, said to be the dominant ingredient of the filler, providing “a unique flavor and aroma.”
Leroy Lamar, president of ATL Cigar Co., commented on the launch: “Working with Luciano Meirelles has been a distinct pleasure for me and our team. Our shared values – from proper fermentation of the leaf to financial and social support of the farmers and production team – give us great hope for the future of our partnership with Luciano and the Ace Prime – Tabacalera Pichardo family.”
ATL Magic is scheduled for an Oct. launch, being offered in bundles of 10 cigars and boxes of 20. The cigars were rolled in a singular 6″ x 54 toro format, priced at a suggested $9.75 MSRP.
