For the first time in Cigar Dojo’s eight years covering the IPCPR/PCA trade show, Arturo Fuente showcased a new booth setup. This may have been more shocking in previous years, however, with the company’s recent transition to embrace social media head on, a revamped booth felt on-brand.

Leading the charge was a life-sized statue version of the iconic Carlito bobble head, greeting guests as they entered a spacious setup, including intimate tables, complete with Fuente-branded umbrellas (a nice touch, in my opinion). At the center was a large glass-windowed display, where the family’s most famed cigars were showcased in color-coordinated designs, complete with family photos and other memorabilia.

The new booth was designed by Liana Fuente, daughter of Carlito Fuente, and new sizes (one in particular) of the Rare Pinks cigar (which she also spearheaded) were among main attractions. This cigar follows Fuente’s occasionally unorthodox nomenclature, dubbed Rare Pinks Sophisticated Hooker. The cigar is sized at 7¼” x 53 and is joined by the 3¾” x 54 Rare Pinks Queen of Hearts; both are rolled in figurado formats. The new sizes are expected to ship in October.

Also on display was the Arturo Fuente Unnamed Reserve 2021, which uses an undisclosed wrapper over Dominican binder/fillers. The cigars are sized at 5¾” x 48, which were rolled in 2016. There will be 1,000 boxes of 20 cigars shipping this September, priced at $10.93 MSRP.
