United Cigar Group announced today an overhaul of the brand’s fan-favorite Firecracker cigar, which will be showcased at the upcoming TPE trade show, held in Las Vegas from May 12thโ€“14th.

The Firecracker series began in 2006 as an exclusive for the associated Two Guys Smoke Shop, offering a unique 3ยฝ” x 50 format and an exaggerated fuse tail capโ€”resembling a firecracker. The series has consisted of limited-edition collaborations in the years following, where many of the industry’s top manufacturers have showcased their own take on the Firecracker themeโ€”being rolled in the same size, including the signature fuse cap, and often amping up the cigars’ body. This includes names such as Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, RoMa Craft, My Father Cigars, Perdomo, and more.

While each of these projects have been made in limited quantities, United Cigar’s own Firecracker has remained a regularly produced blend for some time. The cigars have now been updated for 2021, including box packaging, bands, and even tweaks to the blend.

The new blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Dominican Piloto Mejorado binder, and fillers of the Dominican Republic (seco and ligero) and Nicaraguan ligero. Rolled in the familiar 3ยฝ” x 50 format, the cigars are packaged in 25-count boxes, with individual cigars set to retail at $5.99 MSRP. Retailers that offer the Firecrackerโ€”which has now begun shippingโ€”will also have access to the limited-edition Firecracker collaborations throughout the year.
