After a 16-year absence from store shelves, AVO Cigars is set to bring back the Belicoso format for their first cigar offering, AVO Classic.

AVO Classic Belicoso was last offered in 2005, showcasing the Dominican-based blend in a shapely 6″ x 48 format with a belicoso head. This blend was AVO’s first offering, developed by Avo Uvezian and Hendrik Kelner in 1987. The cigar uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over all-Dominican binder/fillers, including a special 25-year-aged leaf.

For over 25 years, the AVO Classic has pleased consumers with its consistently smooth yet flavorful blending and flawless construction. The Belicoso shape further intensifies the flavor delivered in this blend while maintaining the mild, creamy character you’ve come to expect and appreciate from AVO Classic.Lana Fraser, director of marketing and retail at Davidoff of Geneva USA

AVO has produced 2,000 boxes of 25 cigars for the release, which will be offered exclusively in the U.S. The Belicoso is priced at $12 MSRP and is expected to begin arriving at retail this February.
