In a press release sent out today, Espinosa Premium Cigars announced The Expo as their first retail exclusive with Chicago-based Binny’s Beverage Depot, a superstore retail chain throughout the Midwest that carries a large selection of wine, spirits, beer, and cigars.
The Expo falls under Binnys’ Four Star Society series, named for Chicago’s state flag, which prominently features four red stars on a white backdrop. But The Expo cigar is more specifically themed around Chicago’s 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition (aka Chicago World’s Fair), which celebrated the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ discovery of the Americas in 1492.
The Expo is rolled at Espinosa’s own La Zona factory, located in EstelÃ, Nicaragua. The cigars have been crafted in a singular 6″ x 52 belicoso format, boasting a Mexican Capa Negra maduro wrapper over all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers. A total of 400 paper-wrapped bundles of 10 cigars are now set to debut across Binnys’ 42 retail locations in the Illinois region, as well as their online store.
