In 2018, Aganorsa Leaf released a very limited number of perfecto-shaped cigars that were rolled at the company’s boutique-style factory in Miami, made as a way to offer their top retailers and consumers something special. Each year following, Aganorsa has released followup limited-editions that are described as “the ultra-premium Casa Fernandez Aniversario.”
For 2020, the cigar is dubbed Casa Fernandez Aniversario Cuban 109, denoting the specialized 109-style head that is often considered a signature of the Aganorsa Leaf factory in Nicaragua.
Only 250 boxes of 10 cigars have been produced, with all 2,500 cigars (sized at a box-pressed 6¼” x 54) being rolled by a single torcedor without the need for a lieberman machine (a device that is often used to make the bunching process easier). This year’s blend is 100-percent Nicaraguan Aganorsa puro, utilizing the company’s proprietary Aganorsa Shade-Grown Corojo Maduro wrapper, as first seen on some of the company’s 2019 releases. Casa Fernandez Aniversario Cuban 109 retails for $13.09 MSRP and will begin shipping this July.
