The Premium Cigar Association PCA sent out an email today to its members regarding the fear of the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The PCA has claimed they are committed to carrying on the 2020 trade show as scheduled. Many of the world’s largest conventions have already been cancelled or postponed such as E3 (the world’s largest video game convention), South by Southwest (Austin’s massive tech, music and film festival), and Coachella (the hugely popular music and arts festival).
The PCA statement reads as follows:
We understand concerns about COVID-19 Coronavirus are top of mind, and we want to be as transparent as possible and share information about what we are doing to prepare for PCA 2020 in Las Vegas. PCA 2020 is still on. Most events getting cancelled right now are actually being moved to the summer, when warm weather is anticipated to slow the spread of COVID-19.
We are committed to hosting a safe and successful show. Our top priority is focused on the health and safety of all participants at PCA 2020, including attendees, exhibitors, vendors, staff, industry partners, and others involved. Attendees and exhibitors with questions or concerns are encouraged to email our response team at lisa@premiumcigars.org
