As posted on the social media channels of Warped Cigars today, the company is preparing a second release of its ultra-limited Maestro del Tiempo 6012R cigar, which is a spinoff of the core-line Maestro del Tiempo.
Maestro del Tiempo 6012R (2020) has a tentative release timeframe for mid-to-late 2020, offering the cigars in the same blend and size as the original release. Kyle Gellis, owner of Warped Cigars, informed Cigar Dojo that there will be no packaging alterations made to distinguish the 2020 release from the original 2016 launch. However, the price will increase slightly from the original, due to inflation over the past three years.
Kyle Gellis commented to Cigar Dojo, “[I’m] Just overly ecstatic to be able to finally give our most requested cigar to our consumers once again…but do not be fooled, after this release it will be going back into the vault for many many years, so do not miss out.”
Production numbers are not yet being divulged for the cigar’s second launch, though the original release was capped at only 150 cabinets of 100 cigars. Maestro del Tiempo 6012R is rolled in a 5¼” x 48 size, featuring a Nicaraguan puro blend from the TABSA factory in Estelí. The 6012R is similar in makeup to the regularly produced Maestro del Tiempo, only the blend boasts medio tiempo tobacco in the cigar’s filler—a similar blend tweak that is found in limited Warped offerings such as the Sky Flower, among others.
In 2016, Warped’s Maestro del Tiempo was awarded Cigar Dojo’s No. 1 Cigar of the Year in the 5205 lonsdale format.
