Following Southern Draw’s premiere release for 2018—CEDRUS “The Hogan”—the company has announced plans to expand the line with three additional sizes for 2019.

The updated CEDRUS cigars include a robusto (5½ x 54), toro (6″ x 52), and gordo (6½” x 60), each incorporating the same diverse blend and arriving in box-pressed formats. Pricing is set between $11.99 and $12.99 MSRP.

The CEDRUS blend once again showcases a powerful “late harvest” Besuki wrapper that was grown in the fertile soils of the Jember Region of Java, the finishing touches on a unique blend that we believe is in a class all by itself. Our family was blessed to source this rarely available, top-quality wrapper, with its’ rich brown color, distinct “green chili” spice flavors and herbal aromas that are attributed from being expertly air-cured followed by a multi-stage fermentation process.Robert Holt, founder of Southern Draw Cigars

The line extensions will first be displayed in SD’s booth at IPCPR 2019, the industry’s annual trade show that will kick off later this month. For 2019, SD has rolled 50,000 cigars per size, which are now being packaged in 20-count boxes and refill bundles (for retail displays). This differs from the jar-like packaging of the original release.

Following IPCPR, the 2019 release will first become available to the public on Aug. 2nd during a launch event at Club Humidor in San Antonio. The national release will then be shipped on Aug. 15 and Dec. 15.
