At last year’s IPCPR trade show, La Aurora Cigars introduced an ultra-premium blend, known as ‘Hors d’Age 2017.’
Today, the company has announced the cigar’s followup, ‘Preferidos Hors d’Age 2018.’ The title translates to mean “beyond age,” drawing inspiration from the sought-after cognac of the same name. This year’s release incorporates tobaccos aged 12 years, including an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder, and fillers of the Cibao Valley (DR), Colombia, and Nicaragua. In a press release sent out today, the company did not specify which tobaccos contain the added age.
La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2018 will make their debut later this month at the 2019 IPCPR trade show, held in Las Vegas. The cigars are offered in a singular 6″ x 54 toro format ($22 MSRP), with only 500 boxes of 15 cigars making their way to the U.S. market.
