Crux Cigars has announced a new cigar in collaboration with PA-based retailer, Famous Smoke Shop, known as ‘Union Fire.’
Union Fire is a completely new cigar blend that will be offered exclusively through Famous Smoke Shop in Easton, PA, as well as through the retailer’s large online store.
The name Union Fire pays homage to the Union Fire Company. It was a volunteer fire department in Philadelphia, formed with the assistance of Benjamin Franklin in 1736. Known as the “Bucket Brigage,” it was the very first such fire company in the colonies. In the days when wooden structures were highly vulnerable to fire, the formation of this volunteer company of citizens was invaluable. With leather buckets, a few hooks, and ladders, their success resulted in many more fire companies forming, and the results were immediate.
Crux Union Fire has been rolled in three sizes, featuring an undisclosed blend that has been rolled at Crux’s usual manufacturing partner’s facility in Nicaragua, Plasencia Cigars. The cigars are packaged in 10-count boxes, with prices ranging from $6.99 to $8.30 MSRP per cigar.
