Shortly before the trade show, Foundation Cigar Co. announced the company’s new offerings for 2018, headlined by The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No. 142โ€”a followup to the original Tabernacle cigar from 2016. While the new Tabernacle was certainly the focus, Foundation also brought a new lancero size for The Wise Man Maduroโ€”a special project that will be limited to only 500 boxes of 13 cigars (similar to the lancero-sized El Gรผegรผense that was introduced a year after the cigars hit the market).

Foundation also showcased a new booth for 2018, featuring new and vibrant artwork for the company. Prior to the show, it was announced that Foundation had formed a new art collective under the name ATOL Colectivo, consisting of founding members Ernesto Salinas (SAL), Enoc Valenzuela (VALMOR), and Carlos Mairena (CARLO); the group is led by Alex Garcia (Thief Operandi), Foundation’s current art director. The group designed multiple pieces for the trade showโ€”making up the framework for Foundation’s trade show boothโ€”with the artwork available for purchase at the show (all proceeds going directly to the artists).
