Following last week’s Primitivo announcement, La Barba has now revealed the company will showcase a sequel to 2016’s limited edition One and Only project, debuting next week at IPCPR 2018.
As with the original, One and Only 2018 focuses on aged tobaccos. The blend is sourced from five different countries, with an average age of 10 years. The only varietal revealed thus far is an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf.
One and Only (2016) featured an artistic rendition of La Barba co-founder Tony Bellatto on the cigar’s boxes and bands. This concept is furthered with One and Only (2018), with a new design that appears to be based on Medusa artwork.
The cigars are packaged in boxes of 10 (like the original), though it hasn’t been revealed how many will be released. One and Only (2018) uses the same 6″ x 50 toro vitola from the original release, retailing for $13.00 (compared to $12.50 from the original). The cigars, along with La Barba’s new Primitivo line, are expected to ship to retailers in August.
Since 2016, La Barba Cigars has been housed within Caldwell Cigar Co.’s booth at IPCPR, but the company has branched off to their own booth for IPCPR 2018.
