Casa Fernández, the Miami-based distribution arm of the Fernández family, has rebranded itself as AGANORSA LEAF.
The company is owned and operated by Eduardo Fernández and his son Max Fernández, and includes multiple facets such as cigar factories, tobacco farms, and the company’s own collection of cigars. While the Casa Fernández name has existed for quite some time, the family’s other operations, such as their famed AGANORSA (Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A.) tobacco and burgeoning TABSA factory in Estelí, have managed to eclipse the Casa Fernández name in recent years.
Current cigars under the company include JFR, Lunatic, and Guardian of the Farm, among others. According to a press release from the company, their complete line of cigars will be updated to include the new AGANORSA LEAF name and logo—which serves as the first step in a planned total rebranding of the company. Despite the company name change, self-titled cigars such as the Casa Fernández lineup will retain their name (e.g. Casa Fernández by AGANORSA LEAF).
The company showed the first signs of change in 2016 with the introduction of the Guardian of the Farm and AGANORSA Leaf TABSA cigars, which included modernized designs that differed from the company’s portfolio at the time. In 2017, the company hired Terence Reilly as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing (formerly of Quesada Cigars fame).
