Oettinger Davidoff AG announced early this morning that they have further tightened its leadership structure and is aligning its processes at the headquarters in Basel with the latest market conditions.

Edward Simon, Head of the Swiss Wholesales Business until now, will be the new leader of Global Marketing & Innovation. Edward Simon takes over the role from Charles Awad, who will be leaving the company. Gerhard Anderlohr, current Sales Manager, will succeed Edward Simon and assume responsibility for the entire Swiss Wholesale Business.

The Omni-Channel Retail department, under the leadership of Carlo Motti, will be integrated into Global Marketing & Innovation in order to simplify processes and responsibilities. As part of this organisational refinement, Carlo Motti will also be leaving the company.

The Executive Board and the Management Team would like to thank Charles Awad and Carlo Motti for their important contribution to the progress of the Davidoff brand and wish them all the very best for the future.

Tobias Gysin, in charge of Global Logistics & Warehousing until now, will be appointed Head of Global Operations, and will be responsible for the Supply Chain as well as Production.

Chief Financial Officer Stefan Bloechinger will take on the additional management responsibility for the areas of ICT & Business Technology.

The Head of Legal & Compliance and Secretary to the Board, Dr. Patrick Schädler, will take over the departments of Human Resources and Corporate Communications in addition to his current areas of responsibility. These will be merged into the new corporate division, Corporate Services.

Furthermore, the company management has decided to review all business processes at the headquarters in Basel and align them more strongly with the changing market conditions. A corresponding transformation programme known as „Way Forward“ was initiated at the beginning of this year under the leadership of CEO Beat Hauenstein.
