Davidoff Unveils New Vitolas to Discovery Series

Beginning in 2013, Davidoff introduced smokers to their Discovery series (Black Label) cigars with the introduction of Davidoff Nicaragua. For the first time, Davidoff utilized an entirely Nicaraguan blend; which was rolled at their facilities in the Dominican Republic.

Since then, the brand has slowly expanded to include other smoking experiences from exotic locations or unorthodox growing regions, such as 2015’s Escurio or 2016’s Yamasá. Since launch, the blends have been limited to a handful of sizes, but are now being expanded to include both a 6 x 60 gordo and the unconventional culebra.

Davidoff Culebras Limited Edition

In a unorthodox move, Davidoff will showcase each of the three primary blends in the Discovery series, braided together to form a new culebra presentation. The cigars are limited edition and are now available in the U.S. at Davidoff Flagship stores.

The Culebras cigars (one braid with three cigars) come in small black matte lacquered wooden cabinet boxes or alternatively in a larger box format with eight Culebras. The cigars are already available in the US. Outside the US, the product will be launched worldwide starting in May 2017.

Davidoff has also made each blend in the Discovery series, including the 2016 addition of the Nicaragua Box Pressed, available in the 6″ x 60 gordo format.

The format was popular for nearly a decade, regardless of industry trends. Following its fame, Davidoff cigars created this 60×6 format across the entire discovery range. 6×60 is all about more flavour stimulation and more complexity in a longer taste experience. Its bigger gauge allows for a longer journey into the Davidoff Discovery world.
