UPDATE 04-04-2017: This contest is over! It was an amazing tournament and ended with the University of North Carolina beating Gonzaga in the final game. The leaderboard for the Dojo group fluctuated every game which made for an exciting contest and to make it more exciting 20 cigar celebrities entered the contest adding even more intrigue to the contest. In the end 3 lucky Dojo members will win a box of D’Crossier Cigars and a year’s worth of bragging rights.

For the past few years, we’ve taken a casual approach to the annual tournament, with participants “buying in” with 5 cigars per bracket and awarding the pool of cigars to the top brackets.
But this year, we’ve taken the gamble out of the equation. With Pure Aroma Cigars (D’Crossier) sponsoring our March Madness 2017 Bracket Challenge prizes!

In case you’ve missed the buzz surrounding these cigars on the Dojo, these sticks are money! The cigars currently hold a solid 92 point score on Cigar Dojo. Typically, Santana (Pure Aroma Cigars owner) has been known to blend mild-medium bodied cigars, but with this blend, he gave the cigars a nice kick of ligero, giving a much-welcomed strength to balance the subtle D’Crossier complexities. D’Crossier has long embraced their support for our great country with the Diplomacy Series. The cigars gained their latest addition last summer with the new Pennsylvania Avenue cigars, introduced at the 2016 IPCPR show. This 12-count box of Taino (short torpedo) cigars features the message, “Protect our rights and freedoms in the land of the free,” on the box’s face. These cigars showcase a beautiful Habano Criollo Especial wrapper, a Habano binder, and fillers from Brazil and the Dominican Republic. The Presidential Collection was among the original releases in the Diplomacy Series. There are ten, 5⅛” x 60 (Trabuco) cigars. The blend is dark, savory, and on the fuller-bodied side; using a Costa Rican wrapper, Ecuadorian binder, and Dominican fillers. Retail value is $149.00 MSRP.
CONTEST TIPS & INFO
This contest runs from Saturday, March 11th at 6pm (EST) until Monday, April 3rd, following the final game of the tournament. The winners will be announced on Monday night, but entrants will be able to track their own statuses through ESPN.
Entries will be accepted from the time of this posting (although brackets won’t be able to be filled out until the tournament roster is posted on Sunday, March 12th) up until the 1st game of the tournament on Thursday, March 16th.
