Cigar Dojo & Espinosa Premium Cigars Announce Sarsaparilla II

Nearly two years to the date, Cigar Dojo’s fan-favorite Sarsaparilla cigar will receive its highly-anticipated sequel—Sensei’s Sensational Sarsaparilla II.

The cigars were first announced in August, 2016, when Cigar Dojo hosted Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Premium Cigars live, in studio, for a special episode of Smoke Night Live.

The details of this special project have now been finalized, with Cigar Dojo collaborating with Espinosa’s boutique La Zona factory (located in Estelí, Nicaragua) to introduce the Sarsaparilla cigar in a new, 6 x 50 toro size.

As with the original cigar, Sarsaparilla II will be released exclusively through Famous Smoke Shop—details on how to secure an order are available here. Following the online sale, Famous will host an exclusive event for the cigars at their Leaf Cigar Bar in Easton, PA the night of the cigar’s release. Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Premium Cigars and Eric “Master Sensei” Guttormson of Cigar Dojo will both be in attendance.

“Everywhere we go, all over the country, people always ask if there will be more Sarsaparilla. It’s amazing how popular the project has become. The new Sarsaparilla is the same blend, but rolled in a new size to highlight the unique tobaccos even more than before,” stated Erik Espinosa, of Espinosa Premium Cigars.

In addition to the new size (using the same blend from the original release), Sarsaparilla II also showcases new artwork on the familiar 10-count bundles; as well as tweaked bands, replacing the silver/grays of the original for an upgraded satin and gold foil look. This has been done to help differentiate the two cigars, as well as adding to the cigar’s collectability.

“The original Sarsaparilla is still one of my favorite cigars, and we get begged by folks to re-release it constantly,” said Eric Guttormson (AKA, “Master Sensei” of Cigar Dojo). “But we didn’t want to simply remake the original, we wanted to make it a unique experience. The new toro size seems to be the perfect fit for the blend and, as always, the Espinosa team nailed it!”
