It’s back, for the 14th year running! Camacho has long celebrated Independence Day with a special release, featuring completely unique blending concepts each year. Camacho’s Master Blenders are tasked with creating unique concept blends, with the most favorable going into production in limited quantities, due to the rare tobaccos used.
Switching gears from last year’s Nicaraguan puro blend, the 2016 Camacho Liberty utilizes a diverse, multinational blend from five countries.
The cigars will feature Camacho’s signature 11/18 figurado vitola (48 x 54 x 48 x 6″) – a fan-favorite frontmark Camacho uses on their most premium releases. And, as usual, the Liberty Series comes packaged in 20-count boxes, each cigar individually packaged in cedar coffins.
The single cigar coffins are best stored sealed inside a humidor, and will allow the cigars to properly age without absorbing the characteristics of other cigars stored in the same unit.
Another annual tradition for the Liberty Series is the unique design for the packaging and cigar bands. For 2016, you’ll find a clean-cut black, white, and silver layout—showcasing a folded, triangular US flag—having 14 stars in honor of the cigar’s 14th anniversary. The packaging displays “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave” on both the boxes and bands.
And, for the first time ever, Camacho will be shipping the Liberty Series outside the US. Cigars are slated to launch on June 6th in the US and November, 2016 for Europe.
