Merely 2 weeks ago, Cigar Dojo shocked the cigar world with an announcement of colossal proportions! (forgive the small exaggeration…). Pitting ourselves against fellow cigar community Cigar Federation, together we’ve created a product unlike anything released in the industry today.
At this point, you’v most likely heard the details and are stashing cash to purchase as many bundles as your spouse will allow… But, in case you’ve managed to avoid the big news, here’s the low-down on the Throw Down: Working in conjunction with the mastermind behind Viaje Cigars, Andre Farkas, both Cigar Dojo and Cigar Federation have selected 2 custom blended cigars – one is a San Andrés maduro, the other is a Criollo ’98 natural. The cigars are bundled in packs of 10 (5 of each blend) and upon smoking, the epic battle begins! Purchasers of Throw Down will be encouraged to vote for their favorite blend at ThrowDownCigar.com, where the eventual winner will claim the ultimate bragging rights.
While these special edition cigars have been limited to only 500 bundles of 10 (make sure you’re one of them!), we’d like to offer up the chance to smoke these gems before anyone else, awarding cigars to 3 lucky winners this week!
This week’s contest theme is: “Throw down” for Throw Down cigars!
In the spirit of Throw Down, this week’s contest requires exactly that! VS, one-on-one, mano a mano, clash of the titans, you get the gist… Basically, show your battle-related/cigar-related pics and entries!
Some examples of an entry may be:
- Pit 2 cigars against each other and ask Dojo members to choose the winner
- Smoke a cigar while watching the fights
- Get into a heated game of dominos… while smoking a cigar
Use #throwdown with entries
Entering the contest is as simple as:
- Take a cigar-related pic that involves a “battle” or “vs” theme
- Post your photo to the Cigar Dojo app
- Include hashtag #throwdown

Our contest this week will run from Wednesday, June 3rd at 4pm (MDT) until the night of Friday, June 5th (MDT). The winners will be announced on Saturday afternoon, the following day.

Cigars are sized at 5.5” x 52 robusto, with the Fed Head having a San Andrés Mexican maduro wrapper over a secret binder/filler blend, the Dojo Nation cigars use a natural Criollo ’98 wrapper over an undisclosed blend. Both blends are truly worthy opponents, though only one will reign supreme. This is your chance to score a full bundle before the masses.

There will be 2 second place winners this week. Both winners will receive a 4-pack sampling of the all-new Throw Down cigars, featuring hand-selected tobaccos from Viaje Cigars. Each 2nd place winner will receive 2 Dojo Nation cigars and 2 Fed Head cigars.
As an added bonus, both winners will also win a Cigar Dojo T-shirt in your choice of white & black, or black & gold. *Availability of shirt color may depend on shirt size.
NOTE: This week’s winners will be picked by the Cigar Dojo staff based on on artistic quality (best images), creativity, and originality.
