Another year at The Great Smoke has officially come and gone! And this year, we were there to see the whole thing first hand.

Every year, Smoke Inn’s Abe Dababneh and company throw one of the biggest cigar parties in the US, complete with cigar celebrities, cigar-filled bags for the guests, food, drinks – everything a cigar fanatic needs to be happy.

2015 marked a milestone for the event, moving to a much (MUCH) larger location – seriously, the event must have been 10 times larger than years past! Smoke Inn made good use of the size increase, adding extra activities such as the cigar celebrity dunk tank (oh yeah), a bull riding section, more cigar tents, and even an amphitheater, where guest act Foghat (straight out of the 1970’s) played a show to finish off the festivities.

Highlights of this year’s event included the dunking of Cigar Vixen by Erik Espinosa, an epic bull-riding session by Pete Hernandez, and (finally) a winner of the infamous solid block of silver! Every year, Smoke Inn raffles off a block of silver, valued in the thousands of dollars, to one lucky attendee. Abe then offers that winner a cash bribe to make things more interesting! Well, the silver is no longer in the hands of Smoke Inn…

And as big as this year’s event was, next year promises to be even bigger and badder, as 2016 will celebrate Smoke Inn’s 20th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of The Great Smoke – I’m already counting down the days!
