UPDATE: This contest is over. After reviewing the all the entries a list of finalists were chosen and the winner’s were picked by Bryan and Nick from Core Zero cigars as well as Master Sensei and the Dojo community. The grand prize winner was EJD, and the runner-up prizes went to ArmyRN, horner638, and S. Dakota. Congrats to all the winners and a big “thank you” goes out o all who played along.
Recently, we (at Cigar Dojo) have had the chance to get acquainted with a new and (shall I say) unorthodox cigar brand – Core Zero Cigars. Based out of Denver, Colorado, Core Zero is not only a cigar brand, but also a heavy metal band! A Los Angeles Music Awards nominee for Best New Metal Band of 2011, Core Zero has been described as “Melodic Mosh Pit’n Metal” – these guys are the real deal!
Making their intro onto the cigar scene, CZ Cigars debuted with a solid lineup of two (appropriately titled) sticks – Metal and Indie. These rock-inspired cigars come out of Estelí, Nicaragua, and are aged a minimum of three years, making for a well-rounded smoking experience from both offerings.
For this week’s contest, we’ll be doing something a little different. Seeing as how it’s not every day that you find a quality cigar brand that’s local to the Cigar Dojo headquarters, while simultaneously being a rockin’ metal band, we thought we’d end this contest with a live, metal show! Tune in this Friday night for a special episode of Smoke Night Live, featuring Core Zero (cigars and band).
This week’s contest theme is: Rock ‘n’ roll
This week, post your “rock ‘n’ roll” themed entries for a chance to win free CZ Cigars! What does that mean? Whatever you want (basically) – we want to see you a) rockin’ and b) smoking. Follow those guidelines and this contest should be an absolute blast!
Some examples of a contest entry may be:
- Post a picture of you smoking with your favorite album
- Show us your collection of instruments and cigars
- Smoke a cigar while playing an instrument
- Head bang with a cigar
- Simply tell us your favorite rock band and cigar
- Anything that involves rock ‘n’ roll and cigars
Our contest this week will be a bit more lenient on the guidelines, so have fun with your entries!

At Cigar Dojo, we are very thankful and appreciative of our members, and we want to pass on the appreciation in the form of free cigars! This week’s contest will run from Wednesday, June 11th at 5PM (MDT) and will end Friday, June 13th at 6PM (MDT). The winners will be announced on Friday night during the Smoke Night Live show, featuring CZ Cigars and the Core Zero metal band!
