Cigar ContestA veteran manufacturer in the cigar world, with ties to the renowned Fuente factory, Sosa Cigars offer an old-school smoking experience with a modern ingenuity. Their long-established, traditional blends come straight out of the Fuente factory under the supervision of Juan Sosa, a man with some serious clout in the cigar biz’. Meanwhile, Arby Sosa (son of Juan) is busy creating new and noteworthy blends over at Sosa’s headquarters in Miami, Florida. This is where you find interesting blends such as the Sosa Underground, a cleverly wrapped double perfecto with a Habano wrapper that is capped at both ends with a light Connecticut wrapper – and vice versa.

Sosa manages to combine the experience of generations of Cuban cigar expertise, with a fun and interesting contemporary flare. One thing’s for sure, it’s never a dull experience smoking a Sosa.

This week’s contest theme is: Roughing the elements

As much as I hate to say it, winter is just about upon us my friends. And while that’s not always such a bad thing (snowboarding anyone?), it’s practically a death sentence for us cigar smokers. Cold, frigid wind and blizarding snow sends smokers to any warm corner we can find, scattering like cockroaches under a warm oven (forgive the metaphor). But we’re better than all that, we’re smart and inventive, and we’ll come out on top!

Or… Warmer climates, you can enter too, rub it in our faces and show us just how good you have it! Get creative, it’s the warm vs the cold!
