Aladino is marking the upcoming Lunar New Year with a new limited edition tied to the Chinese Zodiac. The Year of the Horse 2026 cigar is the first entry in what the company says will be an ongoing Zodiac-themed series. The cigar has begun shipping globally through TimeCigar, according to details provided in the company’s announcement.
The Horse sign holds personal meaning for the Eiroa family—specifically for third-generation cigar maker Justo Eiroa.
“The Year of the Horse symbolizes strength, elegance, and forward motion—a spirit that mirrors the story of the Eiroa family and the generational craftsmanship behind every Aladino cigar,” the announcement states.
“This release carries special meaning for the Eiroa family, as the Horse represents the Chinese zodiac sign of Justo Eiroa.”
The cigar is rolled at Fabrica de Puros Aladino in Honduras and uses tobacco grown on the JRE Tobacco Farm. It is offered in a 6″ x 54 torpedo, packed in 20-count boxes.
Packaging is a focal point of the project: the red-and-gold box includes a gold rendering of the Horse character (“馬”) along with a subtle “正,” which references Justo Eiroa’s initials. A total of 600 individually numbered boxes are being released worldwide. Box MSRP is listed as $388.
