Ferio Tego has announced the fourth annual release of its limited-edition Elegancia and Generoso cigars, set to arrive in retail stores this August. Both cigars continue as mainstays in the companyโs portfolio, returning in the 6″ x 50 toro format and packaged in custom travel humidors of ten cigars. These humidors, crafted by the Cigar Box Factory in Estelรญ, Nicaragua, include humidity control packs to maintain ideal storage conditions.
The Elegancia is produced in Licey, Dominican Republic with the Quesada family and features an Ecuadorian shade-grown wrapper, a Dominican binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The Generoso is produced in Estelรญ with the Plasencia family and uses a Honduran-grown wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos.
Though the blends have remained consistent since their debut in 2021, each annual release is treated like a vintage, with subtle variations based on the tobaccos and production characteristics. The 2024 cigars were completed at the end of 2023 and have undergone 22 months of aging.
โEach year, we approach these blends with the same commitment to style and structure, but also with the freedom to let the tobaccos speak for themselves,โ said Michael Herklots, co-owner and blender of Ferio Tego. โMuch like wine, no two vintages are identical. Our goal is to capture the best possible expression of Elegancia and Generoso in each annual production.โ
The 2024 editions carry a suggested retail price of $240 per ten-count humidor, excluding taxes. Limited quantities of the 2023 vintage remain available. Ferio Tego products are distributed in the U.S. by Davidoff of Geneva USA.
