Following the debut of Asylum Oy Vey at this year’s Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival, the cigars have now been opened up to a nationwide audience through an exclusive online sale with Smoke Inn Cigars.
In 2022, Asylum Cigars and Cigar Dojo joined forces for Meshugana, a tongue-in-cheek project inspired by Yiddish slang. That playful concept returns in 2025 with Oy Vey—a limited-edition follow-up designed to surprise fans with a completely new look and flavor experience.
UPDATE: Asylum Oy Vey cigars are now officially sold out. Roughly 70 bundles sold during the Dojo’s pre-party “Dochella” event at Dojo Studios on 8/14/25. The remaining Colorado-exclusive allotment then sold during the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival on 8/16/25. The final sale was handled nationally through Smoke Inn Cigars on 8/18/24, with 150 more bundles selling in roughly 36 hours.
“Oy vey” is an expression that captures everything from shock to exasperation, and the blend fittingly delivers a profile that stands apart from past Dojo collaborations. This marks the Dojo’s first Cameroon-wrapped project, combining the toothy, reddish wrapper with a Mexican binder and dual-core filler of Habano ligero and Corojo seco. The result is a medium-plus toro that highlights flavors of warm baking spice, ginger snap, nutmeg, and cedar, with a peppery retrohale to keep things lively.
As with Meshugana, the release was staged across multiple events, beginning with a small run during Cigar Dojo’s “Dochella” pre-party and followed by the majority of sales at RMCF. The final wave now becomes available online, with 150 bundles allocated to Smoke Inn for a nationwide audience.
