Montosa, a cigar brand under Arnold Andrรฉ, has added a new size to its lineup with the release of the Montosa Gigante, measuring 6 x 60. Announced at the PCA event in New Orleans, this cigar is priced at $9 each and comes in boxes of 20, available in both Natural and Maduro wrappers.
The Montosa Gigante joins the brandโs existing offerings, providing a mild to medium-bodied smoke. The Natural version features an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, a Mexican binder, and a filler mix of Dominican Piloto, Dominican Criollo, and Indonesian tobaccos, delivering light pepper on the retrohale and a subtle spice finish. The Maduro, recognized as Cigar of the Year in 2022 by The Cigar Authority, uses a Mexican San Andrรฉs wrapper, a Brazilian binder, and a blend of Dominican, Brazilian, and Nicaraguan fillers for a fuller flavor profile.
Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations at United Cigars, which distributes Montosa in the U.S., noted, “The addition of Montosa Gigante rounds out the portfolio. This release is a response to the growing demand from our customers who appreciate the balance behind every Montosa cigar.”
Produced at Arnold Andrรฉโs Dominican factory, established in 2011, Montosa cigars source their tobaccos from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic, a region known for its fertile soil and balanced climate. The brand is part of United Cigarsโ broader portfolio, which also includes lines like Red Anchor, La Gianna Havana, and Selected Tobaccoโs Atabey and Byron. Arnold Andrรฉ, based in Germany with o
