Global Premium Cigars (GPC) announced the expansion of its CACHITOS line with the upcoming release of CACHITOS Connecticut. The new blend will be showcased at the 2025 PCA Tradeshow in New Orleans, Louisiana, at GPC’s booth (#4613). This marks the first extension of the CACHITOS brand, which was originally launched in 2019 by founder and blender Enrique Sanchez.

The CACHITOS Connecticut features a shade-grown wrapper from the Connecticut River Valley, paired with Nicaraguan tobaccos from the Jalapa and Condega regions in the binder and filler. Like the original CACHITOS, it is crafted in a 4 x 50 Short Robusto size at the Barreda cigar factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Both blends are packaged in 5-pack boxes, priced at $6.20 per cigar, with shipping to retailers set to begin in April 2025.

Enrique Sanchez shared his thoughts on the new blend, saying, “I can honestly say that now is the right time to release this special new blend. It has taken us a long time to find, select and incorporate just the right combination of premium tobaccos that deliver an extraordinarily smooth, yet complex and flavorful Connecticut wrapper blend. One of the challenges was to create a cigar blend that would satisfy cigar smokers across the spectrum of profile preferences. I live for these types of blending challenges, always diving deep into my Nicaraguan roots to deliver blends that are uniquely pleasing, and it brings me great pleasure to now share this blend with cigar lovers everywhere.”
