Micallef Cigars has announced the latest addition to their growing Color Series with the new Micallef Purple, set to hit brick-and-mortar retailers nationwide on April 24, 2025. The new offering continues the company’s mission of delivering premium cigars at accessible price points, maintaining the same pricing structure established with the Micallef Black in 2023.

The Micallef Purple features a San Andrรฉs Sumatra wrapper, Broadleaf binder, and a filler blend combining tobaccos from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. The medium-bodied blend is described as having notes of cinnamon, nuts, cocoa, and white pepper, balanced by earthy undertones of chocolate, leather, molasses, and cedar.

Before the official release, Micallef is offering an early sampling at Smoke Inn’s The Great Smoke event this week, as well as through The Cigar Authority Care Package in April. The official launch will take place at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in April.

The Micallef Purple joins a growing lineup that includes the Micallef Black, Micallef Blue, and Micallef Red. Available in both Robusto (5″ ร— 52 | $7.00) and Toro (6″ ร— 52 | $8.00) formats, the cigars will be packaged in 25-count boxes.

“Micallef Purple continues our mission of making premium cigars accessible without compromise,” said Dan Thompson, president of Micallef Cigars, in the press release. “Like the rest of the Color Series, it proves that premium quality and affordability can go hand in hand.”

Al Micallef, the company’s founder, emphasized their commitment to using premium materials and processes while maintaining their focus on supporting brick-and-mortar retailers with exclusive products, pricing consistency, and direct-to-store support.
