Foundation Cigar Company announced the release of its Foundation 10-Year Aniversario, a cigar created to mark ten years in the premium cigar industry. The blend will debut at the 2025 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans, scheduled for April 11-14, with shipments to tobacconists across the country expected in Summer or Fall 2025.

The Foundation 10-Year Aniversario is a 7 x 58 Salomon that combines a hybrid wrapper of Connecticut Broadleaf and Connecticut Havana Seed, sourced from the Connecticut River Valley. It features a Mata Fina Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelรญ, Jalapa, and Condega, contributing to its layered profile.

โ€œCelebrating ten years of Foundation Cigars is a deeply personal milestone,โ€ said Nicholas Melillo, Founder & Master Blender of Foundation Cigar Company. โ€œFor this special release, I wanted to pay tribute to my Connecticut roots while incorporating the finest tobaccos from around Nicaragua. The result is a cigar that truly embodies the heart and soul of Foundation.โ€

The cigarโ€™s branding draws inspiration from St. George slaying the dragon, symbolizing resilience and perseverance. For Melillo, this reflects the challenges encountered in the cigar industry and the effort required to sustain a business. โ€œThis cigar is not just a celebration of ten years in the industryโ€”itโ€™s a tribute to the passion, hard work, and relentless dedication it takes to build something meaningful,โ€ he added.

The Foundation 10-Year Aniversario will first be available to PCA Trade Show attendees in New Orleans, offering retailers an early chance to acquire it before its broader release to select tobacconists later in 2025.
