Cigar enthusiasts have something to look forward to this year as Crowned Heads announced the expansion of its Blood Medicine Limited Edition series. Originally introduced as an event-only cigar in 2022, the brand gained traction with last year’s Blood Medicine LE 2024 release, a 6″ x 52 Toro limited to 18,000 cigars. For 2025, the company is broadening the line with three new sizes, packaged in 21-count cabinet boxes.

Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, reflected on the response to the previous release: “The response to last year’s Blood Medicine LE 2024 was overwhelming, and actually caught us off guard a bit. Last year, the 1,500 boxes sold out in a matter of days, and the feedback to that release and the demand for more was insane.” He added that the decision to offer the blend in three sizes aims to make it accessible to more cigar smokers.

The Blood Medicine name draws inspiration from a historic Nashville building at Broadway and 4th Avenue. Constructed in 1872 as a pharmacy, it later became a hotel in 1892 and then Merchants Restaurant in 1988. The phrase “Blood Medicine” remains painted on a third-floor brick wall, a nod to its origins.

The 2025 blend features an Ecuadorian Connecticut binder, Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The three sizes include a 5″ x 52 priced at $10.50 per cigar, a 5 1/2″ x 56 at $11.50, and a 6″ x 54 at $12.50. Production is capped at 700 boxes per size. Manufactured at the TacaNicsa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, shipping is set to begin by the end of March 2025.
