J.C. Newman and United Cigar have partnered to release a limited-edition Cameroon Firecracker, set to launch in late August 2025. This collaboration marks the 60th anniversary of Stanford Newman’s introduction of Cameroon tobacco into premium cigars.
The J.C. Newman Cameroon Firecracker will feature the El Baton band and will be produced at the Puros de Estelรญ Nicaragua, S.A. (PENSA) factory. This 3.5โ x 50 cigar includes the Firecrackerโs signature fuse cap, originally introduced in 2007. With only 500 boxes available, the release will highlight the medium-bodied profile of Cameroon tobacco, known for its spice, sweetness, cedar, and earthiness.
Cameroon tobacco, cultivated in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, is recognized for its distinct flavor profile and has been used by brands such as Arturo Fuente, H. Upmann, La Flor Dominicana, Oliva, Rocky Patel, and Partagas.
The J.C. Newman Cameroon Firecracker will be available in 20-count boxes with a suggested retail price of $9 per cigar. Quantities will be limited, with distribution handled by United Cigar.
