The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) has announced the appointment of Shannon Marie as its new Director of Trade Show and Events, effective July 15, 2024. With over a decade of experience in the events industry, Shannon has dedicated her career to enhancing trade association event offerings. She will immediately begin collaborating with Lisa Cox, the PCA’s Senior Director of Trade Shows and Events.
Joshua Habursky, PCA’s Executive Director, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion of the team, stating, “I am excited to see the PCA’s team grow in a crucial area, allowing us to enhance our program offerings for trade shows and events. I am confident Shannon will support Lisa in maintaining our top-tier trade show and incorporating new experiential elements to our marquee event and beyond.”
Lisa Cox added, “Shannon is a valuable addition to the team, and her expertise will enrich every aspect of the PCA trade show experience. We are thrilled to welcome her aboard.”
Shannon shared her excitement, saying, “I am grateful for this new and exciting opportunity to serve premium cigar members and thrilled to join the PCA team.”
Prior to joining the PCA, Shannon held various roles at the National Association of Federally Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU), including event producer (2015-2017), associate director of events (2017-2019), senior associate director of events (2019-2022), and director of events (2022-2023). During her tenure, she managed and directed NAFCU’s conferences and events, built vendor relationships, organized budgets, handled contracts, and more. From 2023-2024, Shannon worked as a consultant with the PCA, assisting with logistics, contracts, and planning for the annual trade show.
