It’s been four long years… but the Uru Doshi cigar has returned for Leap Day 2024!

Uru Doshi was the first collaboration between Cigar Dojo and the Rubin brothers of Alec & Bradley Cigars, first debuting in 2020 to coincide with the four-year occurrence of Leap Day / Leap Year.

UPDATE: Uru Doshi (2024) cigars are now sold out. The cigars first went up for sale on Smoke Inn at 12pm (EST), selling out in roughly two hours. With 300 bundles of 10 cigars available, this places the sellout at around 25 cigars per minute, beating the original 2020 release by 14 cigars per minute (and around two hours quicker overall).

Named for the Japanese term for Leap Year, Uru Doshi is a special collaboration, making use of tobaccos from atypical lots throughout Honduras (featuring leaves not seen throughout Alec Bradley’s vast portfolio). These Honduran leaves are joined by Nicaraguan tobaccos in the cigar’s filler and double binder recipe. Additionally, as has been hinted in the four years since the original launch, the Uru Doshi (2024) employs subtle tweaks to the tobacco primings, making for a slightly amped-up take on the 2020 edition. Finally, the Jamastran wrapper of the original cigar has been swapped with a Honduran Criollo ’98 cover leaf, selected from Honduras’ Trojes region.

One of the most fun/experimental aspects of the Uru Doshi project is the ability to compare the blends on a four-year basis. For those without an original Uru Doshi cigar, this is your chance to secure an additional bundle or two for the 2028 run…
