Twenty twenty-two marks the 20th anniversary of Macanudo’s well-known Gold Label series, and the company will introduce a special, limited-edition size to mark the occasion.

The cigar at hand is the Macanudo Gold Label Gran Pyramid, showcasing a 6″ x 52 size and an exaggerated taper from foot to head. The new size will be joined by seven other formats, which are scheduled to ship to retailers on May 1st, continuing while supplies remain.

Laurel Tilley, Macanudo’s brand ambassador said, “Even after twenty years, the anticipation continues to build for the annual release of Macanudo Gold Label. This speaks to the allure of Gold Label’s mellow blend and the unique creamy notes it delivers. Whether it’s paired or savored on its own, this cigar makes for a great indulgence. I’m looking forward to enjoying it with fellow cigar smokers across the country.”

The Macanudo Gold Label first debuted in 2002, and has continued as an annual release ever since. The blend is named for its gold-hued Connecticut Shade wrapper, which is harvested from the first and second primings of the plant. This allows for less sunlight on the leaf, translating to more natural sugars, a smooth texture, and a barely visible vein structure. This wrapper surrounds a low-priming Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Mexico.

This year’s Gold Label release is packaged in boxes of 8, 24, and 25 cigars, with prices ranging from $10.29 to $11.29 MSRP per cigar.
