After multiple additions to the H. Upmann line in 2019, as well as a recent update to packaging across the 1844 lineup, Altadis USA has now announced the H. Upmann 1844 AƱejo as the latest addition to the famed Upmann name.
H. Upmann 1844 AƱejo is billed as medium to full-bodied, incorporating tobaccos from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. The multinational filler is bound in broadleaf and finalized in a “dark, double-fermented wrapper.”
The AƱejo has been rolled in three formats, packaged in boxes of 25 cigars and with prices ranging from $7.10 to $8.10 MSRP per cigar. The cigars were blended by Ernesto Kranwinkel in coordination with Altadis’ Grupo de Maestros team, using the company’s Honduran-based Flor De Copan factory for production. A release date for the AƱejo has not yet been announced.
